For a number of reasons, mostly
business related, I ceased trading
my Futurestech account half-way
through this month; not I hasten to
add, because of any trading
misadventure!
For the period I did trade, I
returned +2.2%, retaining an
all-time high water mark.
Zone Capital, my funds
management business continued, and
will continue, to trade my methods
and returned 6.6% for the full
month.
I have always considered Foreign
Exchange to be a much under-rated
and under utilized asset class, and
it is gratifying to see ongoing
sound performance, while virtually
every other asset class is going to
the dogs globally. I've
no idea when the current mess is
going to end, but I fear that each
bail-out will just make the final
collapse, when it comes, all the
more disastrous. This cycle
started a long time ago with events
such as the Chrysler bail-out, and
moved right through the Greenspan
years (boy, does he have a case to
answer!). It's
frightening what is happening now to
all other investment classes, and
particularly the effect this will
have on retirement funds of the
baby-boomers.
If the baby-boomers lose their
savings the long-term economic cost
will be immeasurable.
Recessions, depressions, and bear
markets are not terms that can be
directly applied to the F/X market
in general. I remain
passionate about F/X, and see more
and more people investing in
currencies, if only for the
liquidity.
. . . .
I'm not sure exactly what form
this site will take moving forwards
- we will just have to see. I
will say, in closing, I am
particularly proud of my equity
curve over the duration of these
reports. I believe they show
extraordinary risk management,
through all market conditions.
While not everyone may have been
able to duplicate my systems and
results; everyone could have
duplicated my risk management, as I
have discussed this matter quite
openly.
The latest Zone Capital reports,
which are quite similar to these,
are published
here, under the track record
link.
Wishing all readers good trading.
Continue to follow your dreams!
